Alan in Port Credit
On Saturday August 25, 2018 Alan was struck with a serious stroke and heart challenges that required him to be rushed to Trillium Emergency Hospital. The stroke left Alan partially paralyzed with his right arm and left him at a loss for short term memory with slurred speech The stroke was partially the result of a morbid obesity issue and diabetes affliction and where Alan had seen his weight increase substantially to a dangerous level.
The stroke required him to rest and necessitated the use of an electric wheelchair for him to be mobile. However Alan could always still walk and go to the bathroom on his own, but needed his electric wheelchair for getting around for local errands and where walking would put a great strain on his heart, risking a successive stroke.
At all times though, Alan could put on his pants, stand, walk and go to the washroom by himself…and could always feel his legs!
